We are looking to expand our team at Mackworth Vehicle Conversion Specialists and currently have vacancies for Van Convertors, based in our workshop facility at Derby.
You would be responsible undertaking various aspects of vehicle conversions, on a wide range of vehicle models. Installing and commissioning various parts and components, and working with different materials, hand tools and power tools, during vehicle interior builds.
Key responsibilities include:
- Installation of internal fittings to light commercial vehicles, as per drawings and customer specifications, using hand tools and power tools.
- Interpreting drawing layouts, for vehicle linings, internal storage and other equipment.
- Measuring and cutting materials to the correct specifications.
- Fitting, assembling and commissioning components, as required, to specification or drawings.
Successful candidates must have:
- Previous experience or relevant industry experience of installing components using assembly instructions within a workshop environment.
- The ability to read and understand build instructions
- Proven ability to work using own initiative
- Ability to communicate well with other team members
- Demonstrate commitment, reliability and good time-keeping
Experience of vehicle body building or internal fitments/ conversions would be desirable but not essential as training will be offered to the right candidate.
